Techstars Boulder FTW
When I moved to Boulder in 2013, fresh off the acquisition of my first company, I knew right away this was where I wanted to be. Boulder — and Techstars Boulder — had something special. On my very first day in town, I discovered my landlord was a Techstars mentor. That little twist of fate became my first glimpse into the tightly woven, generous, and supportive network that defines this community.
Fast forward to today — after mentoring dozens of startups, leading acquisitions, angel investing, and serving as CEO of venture-backed companies — I’m honored to step in as Managing Partner of Techstars Boulder. It’s a full-circle moment: from that chance introduction years ago to now helping lead a new chapter of the program that has shaped so many founders, companies, and careers.
What excites me most is the partnership at the heart of this model: Techstars and the local startup community working side by side — fueled by community funding, hands-on mentorship, and deep local engagement — all backed by the full power of Techstars’ global platform. We’re also fortunate to have key investors from beyond Colorado leaning in, bringing fresh networks, perspective, and capital to help our founders succeed on a broader stage. Everyone is excited about Boulder and Colorado!

Already, I’ve been blown away by the encouragement and support from across the ecosystem. It’s a powerful reminder of what makes Boulder, Denver, and all of Colorado such a unique place to build companies: people show up, they give first, and they care deeply about helping founders succeed.
